President

Yvette Cusack

founded her company, BJC Designs in 1986 and has been recognized as an interior design force in Chicago for over 30 years. Her refined and elegant aesthetic embraces both art and design to create luxurious and livable interiors. She has earned a stellar reputation as a designer and project manager with an unerring eye for attention to color, detail and the beauty of natural materials. Her projects are personalized and managed from start to finish with her client's goals and objectives as her top priority. She is highly respected for her exacting attention to all levels of design with the goal of exceeding her client's needs and expectations. The results are invariably sophisticated and timeless.

Yvette's portfolio includes residential, commercial and luxury transportation environments in Chicago, New York, Florida, Colorado and Michigan. Her unique expertise makes her one of Chicago's most sought after designers.

Jordyn Schwartzman

Jordyn has always had a natural passion for interior design—and now she is thrilled to bring that same joy, creativity, and attention to detail to BJC Designs. Over time, her love for design naturally evolved into a deep appreciation for organization. She has learned that a beautifully styled space only truly shines when it’s functional, intentional, and thoughtfully curated.

Growing up with a mom who studied interior design meant creativity was always part of her world. She was surrounded by color palettes, textures, layout ideas, and endless inspiration. On top of that, She has been lucky enough to inherit invaluable insight not only from her but also from her aunt, who is an accomplished professional in the industry. Their influence shaped the designer she is today—one who values both beauty and purpose in every space.

Jordyn specializes in-styling and accessorizing, in home organization, and sourcing including vision and mood boards.

Karen Echt

Karen's well trained eye and passion for art, founded in her art history degree, have been at work for over 25 years of curation experience helping designers, businesses and private clients to build art collections across a diverse global network of independent artists. Karen loves working with our clients to bring the joy of art to life.

In addition to her vast experience with all types of art medium, Karen founded Echt Gallery, a premier glass sculpture gallery, thriving for over 20 years in the River North gallery district. She is also a member of the Art Alliance of Contemporary Art, the Chicago Art Dealers Association, and a regular participant of the River North Design District Annual Chicago Gallery Walk and preeminent international modern and contemporary art fairs.
